✅Burning Palms Beach

🚶‍♂️ Getting There

Reaching Burning Palms is part of the journey.

  • Access via the Coast Track / Burning Palms Track

  • Approx. 4–6 km return walk depending on route

  • Includes steep downhill sections (and a tough climb back up)

  • Well-marked but physically demanding in parts

⚠️ Be prepared — the return walk uphill can be challenging.

🌊 What Makes It Special

  • Quiet, less crowded beach

  • Powerful ocean waves and dramatic coastal views

  • Surrounded by lush greenery and sandstone cliffs

  • Feels isolated and peaceful, perfect for escaping the city

It’s also the main access point for the Figure Eight Pools, making it a popular stop for those continuing further along the coast.

🏄 Activities

  • Surfing (experienced surfers only — strong conditions)

  • Beach walks and photography

  • Relaxing and taking in the scenery

  • Coastal exploring along the rock platforms

⚠️ Safety

  • Strong rip currents — not ideal for casual swimming

  • No lifeguards — swim with extreme caution

  • Slippery rocks along the shoreline

  • Limited phone reception in some areas

  • Long walk means help is not nearby — plan ahead

🎒 What to Bring

  • Plenty of water and snacks

  • Good walking shoes (for the hike)

  • Sun protection (hat, sunscreen)

  • Swimwear (only if safe conditions)

  • Fully charged phone

⏱️ Best Time to Visit

  • Early morning for cooler weather and fewer people

  • Avoid extreme heat — the return climb can be tough

  • Check conditions if planning to continue toward the pools

🌍 Overall Experience

Burning Palms Beach is not your typical beach day — it’s an adventure.

From the hike down through bushland to the powerful ocean waiting below, every part of the journey feels earned.

It’s a place for those who want something real, raw, and unforgettable.

Because sometimes… the best beaches aren’t the easiest to reach — they’re the ones you have to work for.
