  • Size & Location: 12-hectare urban nature reserve in Merrylands West, corner of Cumberland Highway & Merrylands Road.

    Daylight saving: 7:30 am – 7:00 pm (weekdays), 8:00 am – 7:00 pm (weekends)
    Non-DST: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm (weekdays), 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (weekends)

  • Wildlife: Kangaroos, wallabies, emus, native birds, waterfowl, nocturnal animals in a small enclosure.

  • Playgrounds: Inclusive adventure playground + smaller playground.

  • Stay on designated paths, especially near water features and ponds.

  • Supervise children closely at playgrounds and near animals.

  • Do not feed or touch wildlife — kangaroos or wallabies may kick or bite.

  • Take care near the waterfall and water edges — surfaces can be slippery.

  • Dogs are not allowed inside the wildlife area.

  • Report hazards (fallen trees, damaged fencing) to Cumberland Council if spotted.

  • Keep hydrated and bring sun protection — some areas have limited shade.
